Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering
  • Strong project management, decision making and leadership skills
  • Good knowledge with LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, network management and security management
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to coordinate and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders 
  • Team player who is analytical, resourceful, and result-oriented
  • Relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure projects with relevant experience in safety, quality, contract, and programme management would be an advantage
  • Good appreciation of the constraints and interface requirements of civil, trackwork, electrical and mechanical works
  • Candidates with more years of relevant experience (eg. in Railway signalling and/or railway project management) will be considered for senior positions

Job Description:

You will have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art un-manned Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling systems. The signalling system supervises and manages trains movement and control the railway traffic, it enables continuous and timely operation as well as ensuring safe and efficient driverless train operations.  You will play a lead role in managing international contractors to supply, design, install, test and commission the signalling and Platform Screen Doors systems for Downtown Line extension (DTLe), Thomson East Coast Line (TEL), Jurong Region Line (JRL) and Cross Island Line (CRL).
Your will be involved in design review, overseas and on-site testing and commissioning and is expected to develop a good understanding of the system design. You are required to work closely with contractors to manage and monitor the project deliverables as well as in ensuring the safety, quality, and progress of the project works. You will be involved in reviewing and managing project risks and cashflows. You will collaborate with various parties, i.e. contractors, designers, architects, stakeholders and appointed Railway Operators to ensure that the projects are well coordinated.
