Job description

Job Requirements:
Skills: 
1. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
2. Basic computer skills, especially ability to learn and use various computer applications (e.g. Microsoft SharePoint workspace, etc.) is preferred. 
3. Proficient in English. 
4. Proficiency in Mother Tongue languages such as Chinese, Malay or Tamil will be an advantage. 
5. Background in Singapore History and photography will be an advantage.

Job Description:
1. Support in photograph indexing work
- Perform quality checks for indexing records and photo captions which have been created using prepared templates. 
- Provide administrative support in tracking of any errors in the records 
- Verifying that errors in the records have been corrected and that amended records are uploaded to the indexing system in a timely manner 
- Ensure records are in accordance to NLB/NAS indexing guidelines and consistency of these standards across indexed records by the indexers

2. Indexing and General Admin
- Retrieval of CDs and uploading to shared folders. 
- On a regular basis, 
o Update the status of CDs uploaded in the master list (universe of CDs) 
o Record and monitor contents of uploaded CDs with indexed records and highlight discrepancy.
o Assist in general support work, documentation and logistics duties to support selection & indexing work such as the categorisation of items to be inventorised, or other work as assigned by RDM supervisors and staff

3. Database creation
- Creating a master database of old digitization records. 
- Verifying and checking information among multiple physical logbooks to ensure that information is accurate. 
- Doing additional research to ensure that information is up to date
