Job description

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Electronics and Electrical Engineering or related discipline;
  • At least one (1) year’s relevant experience in the area of Field Equipment system and Devices testing and/or managing and coordinating works on site, and coordination with government/utility agencies and other contractors;
  • Ability to interpret user requirements, technical specifications and test documents;
  • Familiar with the full system development lifecycle from requirement confirmation to development as well as testing and deployment;
  • Relevant experience and competence with the tools used for test management, configuration management and defect tracking;
  • Possess a strong interest and self-motivation to carry out testing with the objective to contribute towards a better quality and reliable system; 
  • Possess initiative and leadership skills with lateral thinking aptitude;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, resourceful and meticulous;
  • Highly motivated and pro-active with the ability to work both independently as well as in a team;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) for Windows;
  • Good verbal communication and writing skills in English;
  • Be expected to be deployed at different sites; and
  • Prepared to work on site and perform night work based on project needs.

Job Description:
  • Assist the test lead to manage the contractor when carrying out testing and commissioning of system, and ensure adherence to test schedule;
  • Monitor and update the testing and commissioning programme and work schedule; 
  • Ensure that all testing and safety guidelines are adhered to;
  • Liaise with any sub-contractors, contractors, stakeholders and other  personnel involved in the testing;
  • Verify the adequacy of the test resources such as equipment & tools, vehicles, drivers and validate the accuracy and reliability of Test Measurement System;
  • Ensure test is correctly setup and test data are ready before the testing;
  • Update the progress of testing activities daily;
  • Logging and tracking defects to closure;
  • Consolidate all test data and results for analysis;
  • Prepare regular test summary reports for progress reporting; and
  • Participate in regular test review meetings.
