$1,980.00 per month

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Two-way proofreading checks:

Check that the proof is identical to the original hard copy of the legislation. If not, highlight the differences.
Check that the settings, spacing, fonts and style on each page of the proof comply with the Legislation House Style.
Check that all amendments made to the identified legislation that are currently in force, and ensure amendment references, are accurately reflected.
Flag all spelling, grammatical, or typographical errors spotted.
Mark up the proofs according to a checklist provided.
Prepare the list of cross-references.
Scan and file documents.

2. Transcribed proofs:

Check that all approved amendments have been taken in accurately.
Check that all in force amendments have been taken in accurately.
Check that no errors have been introduced in the process of transferring the amendments.
Check that the settings, spacing, fonts and style on each page of the proof comply with the Legislation House Style.
Flag all spelling, grammatical, or typographical errors spotted.
Mark up the proofs according to a checklist provided.
Scan and file documents.

3. Hardcopy legislation include:

Print amendment Acts/SL from egazette website.
Apply amending instruction to ensure hardcopy legislation has been updated accurately.
Filing and rearranging of files and binders.

4. Provide ad hoc support to the team as and when necessary (e.g., verification of website display, data entry or other ad hoc checks).
