Roles & Responsibilities:
- Supporting the conceptualisation and review of scam assessment programmes and determining programme scope and parameters
- Developing entry/exit criteria for scam support programmes and conceptualising outcome evaluations
- Reviewing and developing evaluation data collection tools including semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and databases
- Conducting data transcription, cleaning, and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data
- Writing technical reports for internal circulation to support victim care efforts
- Preparing academic reports for potential journal publication
- Creating presentation materials for training, seminars, and conferences
- Supporting the implementation of trauma-informed practices in policing, particularly in victimology
- Conducting training and assessment work for various courses
- Any other duties as assigned by the unit
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Psychology or other relevant fields
- Work experience in psychology or related behavioural sciences (particularly in applied forensic work, victim support, or related fields) would be advantageous
- Experience in research settings and project management
- Strong understanding of statistics and proficiency in statistical software
- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and strong analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with sensitive populations and handle confidential information
- Understanding of trauma-informed approaches would be advantageous
