Roles & Responsibilities:
As part of the family, our Client’s service provides statutory intervention and leads in child and adult protection policies and planning to safeguard the safety and well-being of children, young persons and vulnerable adults in Singapore. Their work remains firmly rooted in keeping children and adults safe from harm and safeguarding their welfare, in collaboration with the families and communities we work with.
- Processing adoption applications submitted by prospective adopters.
- Conducting social investigations and day-to-day assessments.
- Preparing social reports and affidavits to the Court.
- Working in collaboration with a network of sector professionals.
- Ensure that all documentation furnished is accurate and to carry out administrative tasks such as data entries, etc.
- Assist in conducting interviews with applicants/family members/character referees and undertaking homevisits, with close support from your supervisor.
- Contribute meaningfully to multi-disciplinary case discussions.
- Any other adhoc duties when assigned.
- Diploma/Degree in Social Sciences will be an added advantage,
- Have strong communications, listening, coordination, interpersonal and people management skills to effectively engage clients and internal/external stakeholders
- Able to work calmly in highly stressful situations and environment;
- Be tenacious and resilient in handling difficult situations/clients;
- Have good physical endurance and high level of emotional resilience;
- Good engagement, assessment, problem solving and multi-tasking skills;
- Good analytical and critical thinking abilities;
- Organised and have strong administrative skills; and
- Enjoy working in a team.
