Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of RSV’s communications plans and initiatives to strengthen awareness, understanding, trust and support for rehabilitation services.
- Coordinate communications efforts across RSV divisions to ensure coherent, timely and consistent messaging.
- Assess operational feasibility, resourcing implications and implementation requirements of proposed communications initiatives, and work with stakeholders to translate ideas into practical and sustainable communications efforts.
- Maintain communications workplans, content calendars and publicity pipelines to support RSV’s communications objectives.
- Coordinate the development, clearance and dissemination of communications materials across internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify, develop and curate stories that showcase the impact of rehabilitation services, professional practice, programme outcomes and successful reintegration journeys.
- Gather and synthesise information from operational divisions, service providers, youths, families and partners to develop authentic and compelling narratives.
- Draft and edit a range of communications products, including feature articles, speeches, presentations, talking points, briefing materials, reports and publicity content.
- Translate programme and operational developments into clear and accessible content tailored to different audiences.
- Develop and maintain a repository of stories, case studies, key messages and communications resources to support ongoing outreach efforts.
- Support the identification, preparation and profiling of youths, families, practitioners and partners whose stories can help deepen public understanding of rehabilitation, while safeguarding client well-being, confidentiality and dignity throughout the engagement process.
- Assess the suitability and readiness of potential profiles, taking into account client welfare, programme considerations, reputational risks and operational sensitivities.
- Prepare and support identified profiles for media engagements, interviews, visits, public engagements and storytelling opportunities through briefing, coaching and content development support.
- Coordinate with Comms and relevant stakeholders to negotiate and facilitate media opportunities, balancing media requirements with operational realities and client interests.
- Ensure compliance with communications protocols, confidentiality requirements and ethical considerations in all publicity and media engagements.
