About the Company:
Our client develops and regulates Singapore’s land transport system, including MRT networks, expressways, bus services, cycling paths and park connectors.
Salaries & Benefits:
- $5,800.00 per month

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Fixed Assets Accounting & Management
- Oversee the accurate and timely recording, tracking, and reporting of government-owned fixed assets in line with the organisation's accounting policies and the Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards (SB-FRS).
- Ensure compliance and maintain complete and accurate fixed assets data.
- Manage fixed assets confirmation exercises with PTOs.
- Complete year-end closing on time and support audits by addressing queries promptly and thoroughly.
2. Stakeholder Partnership and Advisory
- Serve as a subject matter expert on PTO-held fixed assets matters, providing advisory support to divisions on fixed asset policies, accounting treatment and operational requirements.
- Guide stakeholders on the proper treatment and classification of PTO-held assets.
- Advise on fixed assets implications for new projects or initiatives.
- Develop well-considered proposals to address operational or accounting challenges as they arise.
3. Process Improvement
- Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies in existing fixed assets processes and lead the team in designing and implementing improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of fixed assets management and accounting.
- Engage relevant PTOs and stakeholders on accounting policy and practice matters to support process enhancements.
- Champion the use of technology, including AI and digitalisation tools, to modernise workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Strengthen process governance through the review and enhancement of documentation, guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure documentation, guidelines and SOPs remain current, practical and aligned with evolving business, operational and accounting requirements.
4. Team Leadership, Development & Guidance
- Lead and support a team of finance professionals by providing technical guidance, coaching team members and facilitating capability development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
- Manage workloads to ensure the team operates effectively and sustainably.
- Support onboarding and upskilling efforts as processes evolve, ensuring the team remains equipped to meet changing fixed assets requirements.
- Knowledge in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 5 years’ finance experience
- Fixed assets management experience, preferably in the public sector or a large organisation.
- A forward-looking mindset with a passion for process improvement.
- Strong learning agility and willingness to take on new challenges.
- Self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Able to analyse issues holistically and develop practical solutions to business challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative, leadership qualities, and ability to drive workstreams and improvement projects from conceptualisation through implementation.
- Meticulous with numbers and competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of AI tools, SAP, data analytics/visualisation tools & Robotic Process Automation (RPA) will be an added advantage.
