Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Programme Design & Coordination
- Design, plan, and implement after-school programmes to support academic growth, character development, and enrichment.
- Curate learning experiences that align with the school’s goals for student development and engagement.
- Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and resources for after-school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and school departments to ensure programmes complement the main curriculum and CCA framework.
2. Student Mentoring & Guidance
- Serve as a mentor and positive role model for students.
- Build rapport with students to support their social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Monitor student attendance and participation in after-school programmes.
- Provide individual or small-group guidance to help students develop healthy routines, learning habits, and personal goals.
3. Counselling & Support
- Provide basic counselling and check-ins for students requiring support in academic or CCA-related matters.
- Offer guidance on managing schoolwork, time, relationships, and personal challenges.
- Work closely with teachers, School Counsellors, and Student Wellbeing Teams to escalate cases when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow school protocols in handling sensitive matters.
4. Collaboration & Reporting
- Communicate regularly with form teachers, Year Heads, and HODs regarding student progress and concerns.
- Support school-wide engagement initiatives, events, or programmes.
- Prepare reports on student participation, programme outcomes, and areas for enhancement.
Key Requirements:
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor and build positive student relationships.
- Basic counselling knowledge and confidence in student guidance.
- Strong organisational and programme-planning skills.
- Passion for student development and after-school engagement.
- At least O level and above
- At least 2 years experience working with secondary school students
